Information we use
When you sign in, DecideIt receives the account details provided by your sign-in method, such as your email address, name, and account identifier. We also store the polls, choices, votes, visibility settings, and dates needed to provide the service.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, enforce one vote per signed-in user, show public polls, open private polls through their links, display creator controls, and apply expiry and deletion settings.
Visibility and retention
Public poll content can be shown in Explore. Private poll content is available to people who have its link. A poll is retained until its creator deletes it or, after closing, its configured automatic deletion date is reached.
Service providers
DecideIt uses Supabase for authentication and application data, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and the hosting provider that delivers this website. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
Analytics
DecideIt keeps aggregate daily counts for page visits, shared-link views, sharing, and votes. Poll creators can see aggregate performance for their own polls and download poll-level results as a CSV file. Creator analytics and exports do not include voter email addresses, names, account identifiers, device fingerprints, or advertising identifiers.
Poll reports
If you report a poll, we store the selected reason, any optional details you provide, the poll reference, and your account identifier. This lets us review the report, show you whether it was reviewed, and prevent duplicate reports. Poll creators cannot see who reported their poll. If you appeal a suspension, we store your appeal and its outcome. Internal moderator notes, reporter identities, and security details are not shown to other users. Administrator actions and their reasons are recorded for safety and accountability; that limited audit record may remain after an account is deleted.
Your choices
You can download a copy of your account data or permanently delete your account from Account & privacy in your profile. Account deletion immediately removes your account, polls, votes, and reports and cannot be undone. You can also delete individual polls from My polls.
